03 Aug Say hello to our new SEO Manager
Another newbie?! That’s right. We’re excited to announce that our SEO agency in Bolton is growing! We welcome our new SEO Manager to steer the SEO ship for our clients. Liv Breckell joins us to help with smart strategies. With plenty of experience under her belt, she’ll be a great asset to the team; in fact, she already is! So now that she’s settled in, we sent her some get-to-know-you, fun questions to find out a bit more about our new recruit.
First (and honest) impressions of The Audit Lab and everyone in it?
It’s always nerve-racking starting a new job, you never know what your colleagues will be like or what to expect before you start. I never had the “newbie” feeling that you usually get and that’s down to how friendly and down to earth everyone is.
Describe The Audit Lab in three words
Knowledgeable, friendly and fun.
What did you do previously?
I worked for a marketing agency in Manchester as an SEO Manager.
Thoughts on agency life so far?
I’ve worked both in-house and in agencies over the years, and agency work will always have my heart. The vibe and the skilled people you come across in agencies is just something you rarely get in-house.
So, what exactly do you do here?
I’m an SEO Manager at The Audit Lab. My days usually consist of strategy planning, data pulling and SEO strategy implementation.
What motivates you in your work?
I love how SEO is always changing; the data-pulling and occasional problem-solving keeps me motivated. You’re always learning in the digital world, and no two days are the same – it’s hard to get bored!
What’s the best part of your working day?
Team meetings. We have a really creative team, and we all work really well together to devise new strategies.
What are you looking forward to at The Audit Lab?
I’m looking forward to helping gain new business and getting experience in all the different industries that we have as clients already.
Who would be your dream clients?
Any brands within the fashion industry.
Who do you look up to in your industry?
This is a tough one. I’ve been lucky enough to come across many really knowledgeable and talented people in the SEO industry throughout my career, so it’s hard to pick.
Favourite TV show?
Has to be The Office (US). Team Jim and Pam!
What does your work soundtrack look like?
Unpopular opinion, but I really struggle to listen to music and work. If I had to choose, something chilled.
What’s one power you wish you had?
I’d love to be able to read people’s minds. Imagine the things you’d find out.
Have you ever met anyone famous? If so, tell us about it
I once sat next to Peter Barlow from Corrie on a flight back from Corfu. He was actually quite rude and definitely wasn’t up for a chat.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
Ice cream lady – I loved the idea of free ice cream and hibernating through winter.
What’s your favourite animal and why?
I love bears (apart from polar bears). They’re surprisingly so clever, and it amazes me that they can climb trees and run fast, despite their size. My dream is to visit Canada and see bears in the wild (from a distance).
Tell us something we don’t know about you…
I actually started to train as a nurse at college after school but soon found out that career wasn’t for me.
What’s your brew order?
Coffee: one sugar and milk.
You’re having a dinner party with any three people from history, dead or alive, who do you invite?
A very strange mix of people, but Kanye West, Gordon Ramsay and Dua Lipa.
You’re going to a deserted island, what three things do you take with you?
One of those devices that separates the salt out of the seawater, a lighter, and my dog, Lenny.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Jam and cheese butties, don’t knock it until you try it…
Wow, jam and cheese?! Whatever floats your boat, Liv. We hope you’ve settled in nicely, and we’re sure you’ll be working with even more dream clients soon the way things are going!
